Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE] · Version 2026-09-29
What you may and may not do with Sayaara Tag — for owners and scanners.
1. Why this policy exists
Sayaara Tag works because owners trust that strangers can reach them without exposing their number, and scanners trust that a message will reach the right person. This policy protects both. It applies to everyone who uses the Service, including people who scan a tag without an account.
2. Do not
- harass, threaten, insult, intimidate or stalk anyone;
- send spam, repeated alerts, pranks or false or misleading alerts, including fake emergencies;
- send sexual, hateful, violent or otherwise unlawful content;
- photograph people deliberately, or include other people's personal information in messages or photos;
- try to discover an owner's phone number or identity, or use the Service to track anyone's movements;
- use someone else's phone number, or pretend to be someone else;
- place a tag on a vehicle you are not authorised to register, or move a tag to a different vehicle without updating it in the app;
- copy, forge or resell tags or tag codes;
- get around rate limits, verification or blocks, or use bots, scripts or scrapers;
- interfere with, overload or probe the security of the Service;
- use the Service for any purpose that breaks the law of the Sultanate of Oman.
3. Reporting abuse
Owners can report an alert and block its sender from Scan history. Anyone can report abuse to [SUPPORT EMAIL]. If you are in danger, call 9999.
4. What we do about misuse
Depending on how serious it is, we may: block a sender from reaching an owner or from the whole Service, remove content, limit features, deactivate a tag, suspend or close an account, and report conduct to the police or other authorities where the law requires or someone's safety is at risk. Automated rate limits also apply to everyone.
